Will I be able to
communicate directly and easily with my online coach?
Absolutely! You will receive an
initial phone contact from your coach after signing up for your
program (phone calls for United States clients only), which will help establish the personal relationship with
your trainer and will further assist us in developing your
customized training program. In addition to receiving your
weekly training schedule, you will also have a weekly check-in
from your coach to make sure you are progressing appropriately.
If you have additional questions or concerns outside of those
contacts, you will be able to initiate correspondence with your
coach via email, instant messenger, and scheduled
appointments throughout your training. Communication is a vital
piece of the training program, and we are here to support you
through it all.
Will I get my
money’s worth out of this program?
Yes! For around $12-13 per
week, you receive personalized training schedules and regular
communication with your very own training coach! Think of
all the money you spend on maintaining all the “stuff” in your
life – your car, your house, your pets, your electronics…the
list goes on and on. What better way to spend your money
than to spend it on bettering yourself, your body, and your
health? Our programs are incredibly reasonable. For just around
$12-13 a week, you
will be well on your way to accomplishing your athletic, physical,
possibly even one of your life-long goals! The icing on the cake
is all the extras that you receive with our program. In addition
to your training schedules and communication with your personal
coach, you will also receive discounts on shoes and apparel, informative fitness articles, weekly check-ins with your
coach, and so much more! And, of course, you will only get
out as much as you put in – motivation and follow through are
critical to your success. The training programs are designed
to enhance performance, but the achievement of health or fitness
goals cannot be guaranteed.
What if I don’t
want to compete in any events, and I just want to train for my own
benefit– is there a program for me?
Yes! We have customized training
programs that are intended for specific events, but if you are
just looking to train and better yourself physically, we can
provide a structured program that combines a variety of the
disciplines we coach. Just choose which training program would
best suite your time, needs, and goals (see the
run training and triathlon training pages), and we can build a personalized
plan for you. Who knows, you may just be inspired to find a race
after going through the training!
What if I would
like to extend the time of a training program (for example, if I
would like to train for 20 weeks instead of 18 weeks for a
marathon)?
If you are training for a
particular event and are interested in extending the training
program, it is an additional $18 for each week that you would like
to add to the program. When checking out, in addition to
indicating which program you are signing up for, simply click on
"Additional Week of Training" and indicate how many additional
weeks you would like to add to the program, and you will be all
set!
What if I would
like to shorten the time of a training program (for example, if I
would like to train for 16 weeks instead of 18 weeks for a
marathon)?
Our training programs have given
our clients great success in the sports of triathlons and running.
Part of the reason these programs have been so successful is
because we allow ample amounts of time to educate, build aerobic
capacity, and allow clients to get the most out of all the
strength and cardio training throughout their program. We do
not recommend shortening the amount of time that we have
allocated for each program. However, if you have already been
training for a particular event and are wanting to get additional
help, you can contact us
and we can negotiate a prorated plan for you if we can determine
that you have a sufficient level of training to start our program
(generally, each week is a little more expensive than the normal
training plan). Please note that if you sign up for the full
schedule, you will have the most benefits from our program, and if
you sign up with us after you have already begun training, you
will not receive the most out of the program compared to if you
started the program with us from the beginning.
I have time
constraints and a life beyond exercise – how much time do I need
to train?
No matter what training program
you choose, we customize your program around your schedule and
what is best for you. Some training programs are more time
intensive than others, and it’s important to consider your time
commitments in the weeks and months ahead, but our customized
training program will work around your schedule to make sure you
can achieve your goals. We are here to support you and make the
process simple and suitable to your lifestyle and other
commitments.
Can I contact my coach before
I sign up for a program and submit payment?
Of course! If you are considering
signing up for a training program, but have more questions for the
coach, please click on the
contact us link, and you can email us at any time. We will get
back to you within 2 business days, and answer any questions you may
have.
Will I be working and
corresponding with the same coach throughout my program?
Yes! We want you to maintain a
personal relationship with your coach throughout your entire
program, so both you and your coach are attentive to your progress
and growth, as well as your special needs and goals. We will
consistently be there for you right through the finish line!
Can I make
monthly payments?
No. We have found that it
works best to handle each program as an entire training program,
not as a monthly membership. In this way, you and your coach
can both focus on achieving the goals you set for your next event
- one step at a time. Therefore, payments are due in full at
the beginning of your training program.
What happens if I
have to stop my training because of injury?
We will hold your training program
for 3 months in the case of an injury. After 3 months, a
cancellation fee will be applied, depending on the program you
chose. This is done on a case-by-case basis.
